The team has won 28 Plunket Shield titles, 10 Ford Trophy titles and four Super Smash titles. They are also the most successful side in New Zealand’s history.

The Auckland cricket team plays at Colin Maiden Park and is part of the six first-class teams in New Zealand. The team also has a limited-overs side called the Auckland Aces. The Auckland Cricket Association governs both teams. The team has won the most domestic cricket titles in New Zealand, with 26 first-class titles, eight one-day championships, and two Twenty20 cups. In 2011, the team qualified for the Champions League T20, an international tournament held in India.
